WHAT DID WE DO?
In 2022 & 2023, The Hamilton Station Hotel underwent a series of major renovations to the pub; the majority of them focused on a new and improved band room. We wanted to re-affirm our commitment to supporting the live music scene with major upgrades to our band room; including increased capacity, upgraded PA, and improved facilities.
UPGRADED PA & LIGHTING
The Hamilton Station Hotel was the recipient of a national grant through the Live Music Australia grant program. This grant has allowed us to invest $25,000 into a brand new PA & lighting system for the band room; including a full digital FOH system and a programmable lighting console. In 2024, we received a 2nd grand from the Live Music Australia program, which allowed us to invest another $12,000 into new lights and subwoofers for the room.

100 (inc guests) // Using a newly installed partition, we can reduce the size of this room - perfect for local bands and smaller national touring acts.
FLAT HIRE RATE ($200 + $2.00 PER TICKET SOLD)

THE FRONT BAR
For over a decade The Hamilton Station Hotel has been hosting free entry shows in our front bar. Having featured a wide range of local, national, and international touring acts - our front bar is perfect for bands playing their first show in Newcastle, looking to build a local fanbase, or larger acts craving a more intimate experience.
The Front Bar shows run every Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday night.
